JTBC is coming up with a crime thriller show called Undercover which will follow The End Of The World, which unfortunately has been reduced to half of its planned episodes due to poor ratings. It is another thing that the medical drama has formed a cult status among fans.
Undercover is the story of undercover detectives who infiltrate a crime organisation for drug investigation. It stars Jung Kyung Ho (Smile, You), Nam Gyuri (49 Days) and Jo Han Seon (The Invincible) in the lead roles; both the male leads have this as their first drama after military service. In fact, both are doing dramas after a long gap: Jung Kyung Ho starred in The Great Gye Choon Bin in 2010 and Jo Han Seon did April Kiss in 2004. It will be pretty amazing for the fans to watch them on TV screens. I have not seen any of their shows but they look cute. The story looks rich in potential of a good thriller and it is interesting to note that the PD of the drama did rom-com I Need Romance and its sequel. Wow, that looks like a huge change from light to more serious stuff. Let’s see, how this drama shapes up.
Undercover premieres on May 25.
