It only takes a confirmation for a drama and things start taking a speedy turn after that and it’s a matter of only few weeks and the drama is finally on our TV screens (or rather computer screens in my case). Shark just confirmed its main leads and now things are gearing up as more cast has been added to this revenge melodrama plus thriller. The drama stars Kim Nam Gil as a guy who seeks revenge from Son Ye Jin‘s family and falls in love with her (natch). He even changes his face to accomplish his mission. Why I’m hearing Nice Guy, Bad Guy,…while thinking about this story line.
Anyways, the cast added to the show includes Ha Suk Jin (Standby) as the second lead. The drama is centered around hotel business, with our heroine as the heiress of the Gaya Hotel Group, the position she turns away in order to become a prosecutor. Ha Suk Jin will plays her fiance. Kim Nam Gil will be the head of Giant Hotel. The next casting is Honey Lee (Pasta), who plays our hero’s secretary. Here is one actor that makes me happy and he is Lee Shi Un, who was so hilarious in Answer Me 1997. He is playing the role of a man who is simple and loyal, and is like a brother to our hero. Park Won Sang (Warrior Baek Dong-soo) plays a detective in the violent crimes unit, who is connected to our hero’s past as he found things suspicious when our hero’s father died 12 years ago. Kim Nam Gil’s character disappeared at that time and so the detective adopted his sister.
I think Shark can turn out to be a good show filled with mysteries, thrills and interesting characters. As the drama is being done by the team that gave highly praised shows like Devil and Resurrection, the expectations automatically become high. It will start airing from May 27 after God Of The Workplace wraps up on KBS. Check out the script reading pictures.
